We have received reports of motorbike thefts in the Llanrumney area.  Offenders are targeting bikes parked outside residents Homes and public spaces.

To help prevent theft, please take the following precautions:

🔒 Secure Your Motorbike

Always use a heavy-duty disc lock or chain lock (preferably both).

Secure your bike to a fixed, immovable object whenever possible.

Use a steering lock and ensure it is fully engaged.

Consider installing a GPS tracking device or alarm system.

🏠 Park Smart

Park in well-lit, high-visibility areas.

At home, store your motorbike in a locked garage or behind a secured gate.

Avoid leaving your bike in the same exposed location for long periods.

📄 Protect Your Property

Record your VIN/chassis and engine numbers.

Take clear photos of your bike (including any unique markings).

Consider marking parts with forensic property marking kits.

👀 Stay Alert

Report any suspicious activity immediately.
